Hi I'm EJ Lewis!

E.J. has always been considered a “creative” in a household of engineers and mathematical family members. Ever since the age of 5, she has been involved in acting, arts and crafts projects, gymnastics, and was always thinking outside the box. It wasn’t until her sophomore year in college did her love of acting lead her to her newfound passion for filmmaking.

Originally from the Metro Detroit area, E.J. Lewis  move to Los Angeles after completing her Bachelor of Arts. Lewis joined fellow alumni like James Earl Jones and Madonna, as a graduate of The University of Michigan  (Go Blue!) in 2015. Her focus, a dual major in Drama and Screen Arts & Culture. While minoring in Environmental Studies, she enjoyed learning abroad in Costa Rica at the School for Field Studies Research. Following the move to L.A., EJ took on opportunities to hone her skillsets. She interned with entertainment public relations guru Lynn Allen Jeter & Associates where she learned to schedule appointments and interviews, create press releases and electronic press kits, organize databases, coupled with social media management and video production.

After working as a photographer for Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon, and TMZ’s South of Wilshire, EJ took on more responsibility gaining experience on set as a production assistant. She handled NDAs, assisted with wardrobe and set design, transported equipment, and prepared craft services. Adding to her Internet Movie Database credits as videographer and editor, Lewis recorded and edited web series, color corrected footage, and booked events and talent for shows like Make Up & Mimosas.  The aspiring young director went on to become a 2^nd  2^nd Assistant Director (AD) for YouTube’s BRAT Holiday Spectacular, which received over 5 Million views, and box office release, Til Death Due Us Part that grossed over $3M. There, she filed, and casted extras paperwork, distributed and put together daily shooting schedule, assisted actors, relayed set information to AD, plus kept track of shoot schedule.

EJ has become a staple in Hollywood production and continues to prove herself in the TV & film industry. Now, the well-versed production assistant has taken her talents to media power house Pop Sugar, Netflix, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Disney, and The History Channel. She is accountable for assisting with background and lock-ups; Certificate of Insurance’s, crew deal memos, coordination & distribution of documentation, accounting; daily shooting sides; receipt filing and craft services. When she’s not busy on major studio sets, you can find her hiking, baking, and hanging out with her with her pet Russian Tortoise named Sherman. The retired gymnast also directs independent web series like "Petty Fitness" on YouTube Channel’s "The Plug TV" that has over 3.5k subscribers, and  YouTube's "The Session". Over and beyond, she has taken out the time to teach campers how to create movies as a Filmmaker in Residence & Substitute Counselor for Steve & Kate’s Camp, as well as high students film in Los Angeles Unified School District. Known for her results, resilient, dependability and readiness to take-on the wonderful world of entertainment; EJ Lewis is a rising star and one to keep your eye on.
